Welcome to the "Eco-Friendly Surface Modification of Electrode Materials in Deep Eutectic Solvents" project. Our research is focused on advancing the field of photo- and electrocatalysts for the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER). We are committed to investigating the kinetic peculiarities and mechanisms of electrodeposition, electrooxidation, and electroless deposition of photo- and electroactive layers on affordable substrates using newly developed eco-friendly electrolytes (room-temperature deep eutectic solvents).

Our objectives include:

Investigating Kinetics and Mechanisms: We delve into the electrooxidation processes of titanium and its alloys to create nanostructured titanium dioxide layers with high photocatalytic activity.

Electrochemical Deposition: We study the deposition of nickel, cobalt, their alloys, and composites from DESs onto various substrates to develop efficient electrocatalytic and photoelectrocatalytic coatings.

Electroless Deposition: We explore the characteristics of chemical deposition of catalysts based on cobalt, nickel, their alloys, and platinum group metals to enhance HER efficiency.

Our work aims to provide a theoretical foundation that contributes to the development of highly efficient catalysts for the HER and supports the hydrogen economy's growth. We strive to bridge fundamental research with practical applications, driving technological advancement, economic development, and environmental sustainability.
